A New Era of Training Building on a successful history of conceptual collaboration, this project represents the next step in a performance-focused, data-enabled training innovation. The project will integrate Guardiaris’ Small Arms Tactical Trainer (SATT) and Small Arms Mobile Trainer (SAMT) with Cervus' Xcalibr through-life data platform . The integration will combine high-fidelity simulation with live-fire capabilities to create a comprehensive and connected training solution. By combining our expertise in simulation with Cervus’ live-fire analytics, we are creating a training ecosystem that empowers Austrian forces to perform at their best.
The project’s vision to provide the Austrian MOD with a training system that bridges simulation and live-fire exercises while capturing actionable insights across individual, team, and squad levels sets a new industry standard. At the heart of this approach lies the “golden data thread,” an innovative concept that ensures all training activities—whether virtual or live—are interconnected, enabling continuous measurement, evaluation, and optimization. The inclusion of wearable human performance technologies further enhances the program’s capability, allowing detailed analysis of cognitive load, stress levels, and physical performance. These insights are critical in understanding how soldiers perform under pressure and optimizing their readiness for real-world scenarios.
The Cutting-Edge Synergy Guardiaris’ advanced simulation solutions, SATT and SAMT , provide the foundation for this transformative training program. Both systems offer in-house developed high-fidelity replication of real-world environments, making them ideal for flexible training scenarios. Complimenting these solutions with Cervus’ Xcalibr platform ,renowned for its ability to manage, analyse, and visualize live-fire training data, ensures that every aspect of training will be data-informed, thus delivering a holistic view of performance and training progress.
Driving Innovation Through Collaboration The Austrian MOD’s vision for training extends across Live-Virtual-Constructive(LVC) domains, with a strong focus on enhancing combat marksmanship and teamwork. We believe this joint project is more than a technological collaboration; it is a glimpse into the future of defence training. By seamlessly integrating simulation, live-fire exercises, and advanced analytics,it sets a new benchmark for performance-focused, progressive training.
As Guardiaris continues to expand its capabilities and partnerships, projects like these highlight our commitment to innovation and excellence. We look forward to seeing how this pioneering, collaborative program will shape the future of Austrian defence forces.
