Guardiaris successfully participated in IT²EC 2023, Europe’s premier event for military training and simulation, held in Rotterdam from April 24-26. The exhibition brought together industry leaders, researchers, and government representatives to explore advancements in military simulation technologies.
At the event, Guardiaris showcased its latest innovations, including two EU co-funded projects, ABITS and FIIST. The ABITS project, developed in collaboration with Viewpointsystem GmbH and Smartex, focuses on indoor tactical training with integrated data-driven performance analysis. Using non-invasive physiological sensors, ABITS enhances simulation training by providing real-time insights into trainees’ psychophysical states.
The Future Integrated Indoor Soldier Training (FIIST) project introduces a unique concept for squad-based tactical training. It enables soldiers to train with digitized weapon replicas and remote weapon stations mounted on infantry fighting vehicles, all within a shared simulated battle scenario. The project also establishes a standardized qualification process for similar systems and integrates with other simulators using the HLA distributed simulation framework. Guardiaris is developing FIIST in collaboration with Instalaza, ITEC, and Madritsch Weapon Technology.
Moreover, Guardiaris is proud to be strongly present at the disruptive technology conference at IT2 EC, DisTec. Staš Hvala took the floor with a great presentation "Building dynamic worlds: how merging situational awareness and digital twins can lead to unparalleled realism." Primož Peterca, CEO of Guardiaris, was part of the final panel discussing the vision of military training: Gamechangers: Looking to the future of military training through SSE.
